Automatic Screw Screen

The automatic screw screen is a mechanically operated preliminary treatment device used in wastewater treatment plants to separate solid waste from water. Thanks to its integrated screw (auger) system, it collects solids from the screen, compresses, dewaters, and conveys them to the disposal point.

How It Works?

  1. As wastewater passes through the screen pores, large solids are retained.
  2. These solids are carried upward by a rotating screw mechanism.
  3. During transportation, compression and dewatering take place.
  4. The solids are discharged from the top of the system (usually into a container).
