Drum Screen
A drum screen is a rotating cylindrical screening system used in wastewater treatment plants to separate solids from liquids. It is used to remove fine to medium-sized solids in the wastewater (e.g., plastic particles, fibers, sludge fragments). It typically functions as a fine screen.

How It Works?
- Wastewater is directed either into or onto the rotating drum-shaped screen.
- As the drum rotates, water passes through the screen openings while solids are retained on the surface.
- Solids retained onto the drum surface are removed by brushes or spray nozzles.
- The solids are conveyed to disposal via a screw or conveyor.
