MBBR (Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor)
The MBBR system is designed to accelerate the biological treatment process and increase efficiency. At the core of the system is a reactor containing freely moving carrier media (biomedia). Microorganisms attach and grow on the surface of these carriers. The microorganisms break down the organic substances (pollutants) in the wastewater and treat it.

- Cost-effective with lower investment and operating costs compared to conventional applications.
- Requires less space than similar processes.
- Can be applied to almost all activated sludge processes. Provides design flexibility.
- The most practical solution for capacity increases. The treatment efficiency and capacity of existing plants can be easily improved.
- Offers stable operating conditions. In cases like toxicity or overloading, the biofilm is not completely affected and the system recovers more quickly.
- Provides stable nitrification even with low sludge age and at low temperatures.
